Dr. Tahirin Artreches Camacho earned her Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) from Ponce School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Puerto Rico and has a Certification in Primary Care Behavioral Health from the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health of the University of Massachusetts Medical School. For her doctoral dissertation she developed and validated an instrument for the diagnosis of Oppositional Defiant Disorder.
Dr. Artreches Camacho completed a postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology at the Neurobehavioral Institute of Miami. Dr. Artreches specializes in pediatric and adult neuropsychological assessment and cognitive rehabilitation. She has extensive experience in evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of traumatic brain injury, cerebral vascular accident, epilepsy, neurodevelopmental disorders, learning disorders, and ADHD/ADD.
Dr. Artreches Camacho has extensive experience completing assessments as part of forensic and immigration cases.
Dr. Artreches Camacho trained in a variety of settings including a general hospital, rehabilitation hospital, primary care clinic, and memory disorders clinic. She leads patient and family support groups for traumatic brain injury and stroke. Dr. Artreches is fully bilingual in Spanish and English and is competent in cultural awareness and sensitivity.
